Thank you for putting on such a wonderful and entertaining production this past weekend. It was my first time competing in the Gopher State Classic and I can see why athletes come back to this show year after year - what a blast!
I would like to thank you and everyone involved in the production of yesterday’s show! This was my first time competing and I honestly could not have imagined a better experience! I am so excited to continue moving forward in this sport.
I wanted to reach out and thank you so much for putting on the Woman’s Fitness Summit — it was exactly what I needed! As I told you, on Saturday, I sat in my car thinking about driving home — but I pushed myself to walk in the door. I did not share the reason I attended the summit with the group, because it is kind of a long story, less than 2 years ago, I weigh over 250lbs. Just over 3 weeks ago my coach told me that she thinks I have what it takes to compete….so this is all very new to me, and I randomly came across your Summit registration — it was like it was meant to be! Right at the time I had a million questions/concerns — your Summit was a big shining light for me!From the minute I walked in the door to registration, I felt at ease, everyone was so welcoming and so helpful. Your staff, and the vendors were extremely receptive to all my “dumb” questions! I was so nervous being the “new girl” and everyone made me feel so welcome. I was most afraid (and in need) of posing practice, because I honestly had no idea what it was all about. You made me feel comfortable in a very awkward situation. I still feel like I weigh 250lbs — so being placed in front of the mirror with all of the figure girls was very challenging for me mentally — the manner in which you helped me, gave me confidence, and made me feel like I belonged. Thank you so much for everything, I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found this summit, and stepped out of my comfort zone to attend. The summit did not disappoint, I left feeling more confident, and completely inspired to start my prep next week!!!! Connecting with the fabulous group of girls who have been competing, was something that I needed! Outside of my coach, I have no real contact with girls who lift and/or compete. I am happy to say that is no longer true! What a blessing to be part of this community of strong women!! My goal is to compete in the Med City Comp in September….! I have a long ways to go, but thanks to you and Saturday’s Summit, I feel so much more comfortable with the process! You really never know the impact you have on people….I just needed to share how much Saturday’s Summit and you have impacted me and my journey!
Absolutely had a BLAST at the summit, here is some feedback!LOVED how you guys just made the food! It was literally simple but perfect!Posing with you is always such a great experience, always learning and walking away with so much information to apply at the gym between sets! I honestly feel so blessed to have that time with you. Chris and Carrie Hartley, I literally took so much away from their talk on diet/nutrition! Little pointers and tips really were great to hear. I especially liked how she stated, we really need to embrace our fluffiness just as much as prep...mentally it can be hard. For me, all the other girls at the summit were pretty lean either just were on stage or getting ready to get on stage, and here I am fluffy and a year out! But mentally I know I can/will get lean, I tell myself this all the time but to hear Carrie say it was a great reminder/reinforcement!Loved how Hardbody Bronze related stage makeup and everyday makeup! Her talk was very interesting especially since I have never been on stage and gone through that process. She did an amazing job and I really respect she always takes the time to come to the summits! For some reason it’s so comforting to hear it come straight from the business who will actually be doing everything day of show!! It’s very reassuring. Also I wanted you to know I saw another attendee this AM at the gym, we chatted quick about the summit, she shared with me how she really struggled with her first prep for Med City last season. But she also shared how this prep has gone much better! She said just having me at the gym early mornings and another competitor who does early AM cardio helps her mentally. I said, this is what Christine was talking about, having people around, there for each other, people to talk to, support, and care about each other!! Rochester has a very small group, but we all are so supportive and always there for each other. Thank you again for all the time and work you put into these, it really does make a difference! Hope this helped a little ...I just honestly enjoy being there, I need to learn and grow and no better place to be than learning from the best!
